Rental terms

GoVelo service terms: day rates, deposit, check-in, minors, 48 h cancellation, weather and no-show.

The terms below apply to GoVelo rentals. The version accepted at check-in is the one shown in your booking. For groups and deliveries, the signed quote may supplement or detail these points.

Day rates and payment

  • The rate on the model card is per calendar rental day; multi-day or group totals appear in booking or quote.
  • Price includes bike, helmet, lock and basic kit unless stated otherwise. Optional accessories are added separately.
  • Booking is confirmed after online payment or explicit agreement for pay-at-handover / quote bank transfer.

Security deposit

  • Deposit is separate from the rental price, shown before confirmation and recorded at handover.
  • Refunded after bike, battery and inventory inspection on return.
  • Extra charges only for damage, inventory loss or failure to return accepted inventory.

Handover, check-in and use

  • Each adult completes online check-in before handover; without check-in, handover may be delayed.
  • Riders must be able to cycle; electric assist does not replace bike control.
  • Return battery at a reasonable level; no unauthorised modifications, racing without agreement, or riding under the influence.

Minors

  • Minors ride only with a responsible adult present at handover and on the ride; the adult accepts terms and is liable for equipment.
  • Schools and camps: parent consent, adult ratios and terms from the dedicated quote.

Insurance

  • The rental does not include a personal accident or third-party liability policy for the rider.
  • Deposit covers damage to GoVelo equipment after inspection; for road accidents use your own personal / travel insurance.

Cancellation, weather and no-show

  • Free cancellation up to 48 h before start unless the quote states otherwise.
  • Unsafe weather (storm, ice, warnings): we offer reschedule or credit; light rain does not auto-cancel.
  • No-show (no arrival without notice in the confirmed window): booking may close as no-show; deposit and/or payment may be retained; inventory may be released.
  • For groups, deliveries and schools, signed quote terms prevail.

Group invoicing

  • Companies and institutions: invoice to VAT ID / name based on the accepted quote; card or bank transfer after confirmation.
